Their loud laughs, innocent laughs
Some always have a joke to hide their insecurities
Some joke to hide their pain
The inability of some to share their feelings,
But also jealous of most women’s ability to talk and share.
Some of them wish they could do that,
Just talk and cry
Hoping it would not make them seem weak
Hoping society to be more kind to their emotional side
Some of them do not resort to violence when angry,
they instead try and work with empathy
The burden of social stigmas around their neck
Carrying the baggage of other misogynistic devils
The pressure to drink and smoke to be more relevant.
The dilemma to help a damsel in distress or let her be independent.
Granting their mothers the highest position in their heart’s pyramid.
Accepting that love is not always about grabbing, winning, or achieving something
but to sometimes let go, for good.
It is not that easy for some men to be a man in this patriarchal society.
