The 'Happy period' does not last for a lifetime

It comes and goes like a tidal wave

which dampens the soil away from the shoreline

leaving that soil dry with the scorching sun glaring on it

Looking at the waves breaking near the shores,

Waiting for the next tidal wave to come.

You knew all along that it was going to be short lived

You knew it will leave a void in your heart

You beam like a light bulb, knowing you are going to fuse soon

But you still embraced it

Because your heart was desolate for a long time.

You took a chance as you have so much to give

To the world, that deserves the least.

To the world that does not value love that is attained effortlessly.

The truth of your heart is that it is never at peace,

Even when you are happy.

You doubt if it ever wants to be at peace.

It wants to flutter, race, suffer, ache

And beat so fast that it makes you dizzy.
