The river tries to do an unfeasible task,
searching for emotions,
In the mountains’ eyes,
admiration like sunlight on her beauty,
a mirror to cradle her reflection,
curiosity to know her more.
But instead, she finds a void.
His gaze is a desert,
hollow and vast,
where apathy hangs heavy like dust in the wind.
She sings his name,
Yet even her echo refuses to return.
Her waters splash and scatter,
winding down,
slowly dissolving at the edges of his heartless feet.
