Women should not always be put on a pedestal.

We are expected to have moral high grounds

We are supposed to be the understanding ones

The empathetic ones, the compromising ones.

The Good ones. The nice ones

How about just considering us as humans

Capable of making mistakes, being wrong

Our bad decisions are not equivalent to feminists being bad.

In the midst of this baseless war,

waged by unguided, egoistic men

who clutch their toys of destruction,

terrified of prosecution for their atrocities against women

It is women and children who pay the heaviest price.

Women bleed, for their arrogance,

Women suffer, for their fear.

We are not examples.

We are simply trying to exist,

hoping for equity,

longing for equality.

Maybe it's time Men take the reins of feminism again.
