We humans are entangled in a sea of emotions
We garner attention on ourselves from ourselves.
Trust is our enemy; paranoia is our best buddy.
We are always angry.
At the system, at the world, at life
Our collective patience has worn out.
Now we are angry at humanity itself.
Hope is a rare element.
We drown ourselves in a pool of self-pity
We dwell in a shady place like a fungus
We have built a wall around us that resists happiness
Evil doesn’t surprise us anymore; joy does.
Jealousy and guilt walk hand in hand
We sabotage any bright light that enters that cave of darkness
We guard our hearts from new pain
Because the old ones have not left yet
Like spam in our inbox, they are always there.
Nailing our heart from inside and puncturing our willpower.
